I have always considered myself to be a happy person. I love feeling and just being happy! I also like to surround myself with happy people because being around them makes me happy.
This happiness has always made me want to share my life with the rest of the world in hopes I can help lift someone else’s spirits by putting a smile on their face and hopefully rubbing some happiness off into their world.
If it were up to me, my wish would be that everyone could be happy in their own life and skin.
But sadly this is out of my control.
A little while back, I found myself being not so happy. I was actually quite the opposite. I didn’t know why?
and I didn’t like it.
It took me some time to dig down deep and analyze why I wasn’t happy anymore.
I realized a few things.
1. Other peoples unhappiness should not have an effect on my happiness.
2. Only I can control my happiness.
Let me explain; In the past there has been some comments by people, (some I don’t even know personally) who have made negative comments and started acting differently towards me for whatever reason. *I’m pretty good at sensing ones feelings and mood towards me.
These are the people I usually just smile at and honestly feel bad for. Ev calls them “Vampires” They’re the downers and life suckers that try and suck all the happiness out of you just for fun. (He will explain more in his next post he’s working on.)
The sad thing is, is they might not even realize what they are doing.
I would hear things and comments from people that made me feel sad and almost question my happiness.
Things that I really don’t need to share on here.
And for some reason these comments really effected me and made me feel like I needed to down play my life, even my happiness.
Then a friend posted this quote and it really hit me.
No my life is not perfect, I never said it was. I have bad days just like everyone else. I have chosen to share mostly the happy bits & pieces of my life publicly because I want my blog to be a happy place to be!
I only share because I really do care.
I care about others happiness.
And as much as I would love to help them to be happy and find happiness, that is something they will have to find and choose on their own.
In the mean time, I’m going to keep smiling because smiling is my favorite!
And hopefully I can rub off some good vibes, hope and happiness into someone else’s life.
Happiness really IS Contagious.
Also, why are people are so afraid to comment?! I know you are there and I would love to hear from you!
Promise I won’t bite!…
