Mother’s Day

Hope Everyone had a good Mother’s Day. We spent most of the day hanging out at home trying to get Miss Gibson better. It rained all day, but we didn’t mind it. We sat out on the front porch for a bit and watched it POUR! It smelt so good and refreshing and the kids ran out in it a few times. It took me back to one of my childhood memories of my Sister’s and I sitting outside of our window with our legs in sleeping bags as we watched the rain. I can still remember what our sleeping bags look like too. For some reason, some of my best memories happened in the rain! Maybe that’s why I love it so much.

Sometimes this is as good as it gets^^ The next one we took he was making a weird face and I was smiling… haha.
I guess we were a little off on our photo game.
Gibby girl protested her nap after 3 tries so by the end of the night she was prettttyyyy cranky and tired. Ev made me a nice Mother’s Day dinner (rice, BBQ chicken, zucchini and squash sauteed in olive oil and garlic) It was delish! I FaceTimed with my Fam after dinner for a bit, talked with Ev’s Mom on the phone and then Skyped with my brother Skyler who as been serving an LDS mission in Eugene Oregon for two years and is COMING HOME IN 5 WEEKS!! I Can’t wait!!! He and I are a lot alike and I miss him so much!  I seriously can’t wait for him to meet Gibby!! She was born a few weeks after he left so they have only met through Skype and photos. It’s going to be a fun reunion for sure.

Saturday evening, Ev watched Gibby girl while the boys took me on a Mother’s Day date (Nixon’s idea) They each wanted to pick me out a gift. Jovi first said he wanted to get me makeup? Haha but then decided on cotton candy instead. And Nixon picked me out some chocolate because he said you lovvvve chocolate Mom and kissed me on the cheek. These sweet boys know me well How did I get so lucky?!
