Four more weeks until baby girl is due!!!! and I have been in constant nesting mode! I just have this desire to decorate and redo every room in the house. haha. So far I’ve gotten the front room, master bedroom and now the boys room done! The nursery is pretty close to being done, there’s just a few things I’m still working on.
The boys room makeover ended up being a lot of fun! I used a removable wallpaper for the wall and redid their old dresser we had sitting in the garage. It was a fun project! Now I’m trying to figure out the next piece of furniture I can tear apart re-design haha. Check out the Before & After below! I also listed all the room details at the bottom of this post 🙂
Surprisingly this dresser was a lot of fun to redo! I removed all the hardware filled in the holes with a wood putty, lightly sanded the drawers then painted them with a satin white paint. I also took off the mirror brackets from the back of the dresser and ripped off the decorative wood piece along the bottom. Then drilled new holes for the dresser handles I found at Home depot and waalaa! 37 dollars later a new and improved dresser! Well at least to us anyways 🙂 p.s don’t worry I fixed the handle on the left side after I shot these photos! I didn’t realize the drawer was upside down when I was doing the measuring the holes, soooo that’s why it’s a little lower than the rest, oh man. Luckily that was the only problem I ran into this time around!
It was so fun surprising the boys with this teepee when they got home from school!
It brought back a little bit of that Christmas magic 🙂
Her smile in the photo just melts me! Love you Gibby lou. ^^
This photo makes me laugh every time I look at it. Finn’s face is priceless haha.
