Tucson/Lazydays KOA Resort

This year, Easter and Nixon’s 9th Birthday fell on the same weekend so we thought it would be fun to try something new and celebrate Easter and his birthday away from home! We found this cute and cozy KOA campground in Tucson Arizona called Tucson/Lazydays KOA Resort! It was above and beyond what we were expecting! We stayed in this Deluxe Cabin and it was soooooo cute and perfect for our family of six. You can watch a tour of it on my IGTV here!

The nicest stranger came up and asked if we wanted a photo of all of us while Ev was snapping some of the kiddos and I. I thought is was so nice of him to offer!

The campground  was super family-friendly, high quality and had attractions and amenities right on-site! The first thing we did after unloading the car was order some food right there at our campsite from their on-site BBQ restaurant! It was so so yummy.

This was my first time in Arizona! It reminded me a lot of where we live just a lot bigger with way more cactus! Both Ev and I love the desert vibe so we were all about the sceneries as we drove around. We were also pretty tempted to take a few cactus back home to the Desert Lounge salon! But we didn’t ;).

They had so many fun things for all of us to do! They had pickle-ball, fire-pits, a little play area, a game room, laundry mat, pool and a gift shop!

We basically spent every evening at the pool while we were there! The weather was so nice and made for the perfect evening swim. And also made bedtime pretty easy because everyone was so warn out from swimming 🏊

Lo would dip her toes in here and there, but for the most part she preferred to be out of the pool watching her older brothers and sissy swim<3 And I didn’t mind the snugs one bit!

The Easter egg hunt

On Saturday afternoon, the campground put on an Easter egg hunt for all the kiddos at the campground! This definitely was one of the highlights for our kiddos for sure!

I had a lot of people asking where their outfits were from on insta so I thought I would share it here too! They’re from Walmart!

Nixon’s Birthday

how are you already nine dude?!!

I keep asking babe how do we already have a NINE YEAR OLD?!?! It really blows my mine. After cake and presents, we ended up going to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum ! I’ll share in a different post since this one is already getting pretty long! but it was so cool and the kiddos loved getting to pet some Stingrays! So I’ll hopefully be getting it up soon 🙂

After the museum we went back home for a family swim, then ended the night with s’mores by the camp fire. The little loves kept saying it was one of the best days EVER. And I would have to agree:)

Currently planning out our next KOA camping location because this weekend did wonders for my Mama heart and soul!

Have a great day friends!<3
