Locked Out
Last week, our check engine light came on. Lovely.
A couple days without a car and a pocket full of cash later we piled the boys in Evan’s car (Blair, the 1987 Toyata Camry- still running like a champ) and went to go pick up our fixed car.
It’s nearly nap time mind you, so these little boys are not in the best of moods.
After getting the car, we stopped at the grocery store to pick up some stuff for dinner.
Not a very good idea. The whole time we are racing through the grocery store trying to get out of there as soon as possible with two cranky, wants everything in the store, little boys.
We load the car with groceries, I drive the boys home and Evan goes to a work meeting.
The drive home was not pleasant.
I’m counting down the mins we will be home, trying not to speed.
F I N A L L Y we get home, I reach for the garage opener and oh, it’s not there. It’s with Evan in his car at his meeting across town. P E R F E C T!
Well luckily it was only a 20 min wait until he was able to come rescue us. (Longest 20 mins of my life!)
After we got the boys their blankies and down for a nap,
I took in a deep breath and thought, ohh the joys of Motherhood!
