Lately, I’ve been noticing how critical and judgmental media and society can be. We look to them as a model of how we should look, act, speak, even be – in order to be happy and successful in life.
This way of thinking is unhealthy, even toxic.
This way of thinking is unhealthy, even toxic.
And It’s so easy to get so caught up in, so much that you become so depressed and unhappy with yourself because you can’t live up to the ways of the world.
A couple weeks ago, I decided I wanted out of this way of thinking.
It’s not me or who I want to be.
“I’ve decided to stop caring so much about what the world thinks. How to dress, how not to dress. How to act, how not to act. What to feed your kids, what not to feed your kids. How they should act, how they should not act, and start listening more to my own motherly instincts. After all, I am the one who brought them into this world.”

We are often so hard on ourselves. We take in and analyze all the bad things that people have to say about us, rather than focusing and remembering all the good things people say about us. It’s so easy to do. You know the saying, “We are what we think?” It’s sooo true! We are what WE think, not what other people think.
You can always tell when someone is truly happy in their own skin vs someone who is not.

True happiness is loving yourself for who YOU are.
For helping serve and build others up, even when you’re not feeling so hot yourself.
True happiness comes from truly losing yourself to truly finding yourself.
