On our way back from the grocery store, the boys spotted out some horses from their window and begged me to stop so they could get out and go say hi to them.
This wasn’t the first time, so I decided to pull over and let them go say hi to the horses.
We piled out of the car with promises that they would get back in right when I told them it was time to go.
Nixon was the first one over to them, Jovi kept his distance as she slowing warmed up to the idea of of getting a little closer to the horsies.
Gibson found them to be pretty fascinating, and kept waving hi to them.
We spent a few minutes trying to decide on a good name for each of the horses.
We finally decided on banana & oreo, said our goodbyes, then loaded back into the car to head home.
On our way back, the horses names changed a few more times, chocolate chip, apple, ninja, brownie… and a few others I can’t remember at the moment.
As I was driving home, I started thinking about how much I love these days and these simply little moments that make being a Mama so blissful.
They are growing up so fast, and it makes me a little sad that they won’t be this little forever.
It’s not always cake & roses, there are crazy times for sure… But I know these are the crazy times I will look back on and miss the very most.
