For Valentines this year I decided to do something a little different for the norm. We usually cut out a big heart from some colored paper and put their hand prints all over it. But this year, during Gibby’s nap, I was needing something that would occupy them a little longer than just a heart card so I taped some shipping paper to the floor with painters tape and let the boys go to town on it.
I wasn’t planning on using any paint… but… it was looking kind of boring with just crayons and a few cut out hearts, It needed some more color to help liven it up! So I guess we went all out this year and brought out the washable paint.
It started out with just me painting their hands and having them press it on the paper. But then Nixon thought it would be cool to do their feet prints too. Before I could suggest otherwise, he had already covered his right foot in red paint. K cool.
Sooo I painted his other foot blue and then painted jovi’s as well. Once I was done, I had them walk all over the paper, they had a blast! I’m sure you can imagine. The whole time they were laughing and giggling saying, “Daddy is going to lovvvveee thisss!” I totally agreed.
Once things got a little too out of hand, into the bath they went.
I let their masterpiece dry while they bath then taped it up on our bedroom door.
When Gibson got up from her nap, I had her add a few last finishing touches to our master piece.
Cutest pouty face on earth.
I’m sorry Miss Gibson, but you can only draw with crayons, not eat them.
love, Mama.
When Ev got home that evening, they were SO excited to show him.
He loved it.
