A child who does not play is not a child, but the man who does not play has lost forever the child who lived in him. ~Pablo Neruda
Growing up, my Mom was pretty awesome at letting us be creative, explore and get messy.
I think those are the times I remember the most.
I was one who preferred the outdoors.
I would rather mow the lawn than help with laundry, and shovel dog poop over doing the dishes!
It’s the truth.
To this day, for some reason dishes are my worst nightmare.
Babe is aware of this and is so nice to help me with them once and awhile. He’s pretty great:).
Anyways I guess what I’m getting at is, I love the outdoors and I love that my Boys love it too.
Between our house and Grammas house, playing in sand and mud is their top favorite thing to do.
More than anything, I want to give my children what my Mom gave me, and that is the chance to be ME.
To BE a Kid, explore, create and get messy.
Those are my fondest memories and I hope they will be my Kiddos favorite too.
I owe it all to my amazing Mama.
