Nixon started Kindergarden this week! The past few months when I or anyone would ask him if he was excited to start kindergarten soon, he would say, “No! I don’t want to go to school.” every.time. Which was weird because he seemed to really enjoy his summer school when we were back in Missouri. As Kindergarten got closer, I started to get a little worried on how he was going to respond to the whole ordeal. Well on his first day, he only had one toddler tantrum as we were getting ready for school (pretty good for Nixon;)) I’m sure he was just dealing with a lot of different emotions lately so once we got the problem solved, he got dressed helped me pack his lunch and skipped out to the car with a smile on his face.
I was really proud of him, he went without a fuss. He even wanted to do a cool pose for a picture in the front of his school before we went into his class, he cracks me up. He still won’t tell me what he did in class that day or what he learned, buuuut he has nothing bad to say about it so I’ll leave it at that. He is very strong welled and a bit stubborn at times, so I’m learning to celebrate the little steps we make with him as well as the big ones. Lets just hope this excitement for school keeps up. :):)
Both of the boys are such good brothers and are so sweet to their little sister. I love watching them play and interact with each other — Nothing makes my heart smile more.
